Process Guides (full course)

PracticeWise, LLC, is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. PracticeWise, LLC, maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

This course is designed to help you learn to recognize, understand, and apply Process Guides.

Course Structure:
This course consists of four online learning modules that include instructional videos and progress questions. The learning modules are followed by a posttest and course evaluation. A sample Process Guide is also included with the course. A continuing education certificate is available for download after successful completion of the course.

Learning Objectives:

1. Recognize Process Guides as conceptual frameworks that contribute to an information-rich environment to help service providers make better decisions.
2. Explain how Process Guides are useful to a variety of people in various roles, including direct service providers, supervisors, and treatment team members, as well as administrators and researchers.
3. Describe key features of Process Guides that support informed decision making.
4. Demonstrate that Process Guides are useful at different points in a case, including event triggers, the occurrence of a problem, or as part of ongoing case monitoring.
5. Use Process Guides to prepare for a clinical event, to communicate with treatment team members, or to get unstuck when difficulties arise.
