EBS System Model (full course)

This course is designed to help you recognize, understand, and apply the Evidence-Based Services (EBS) System Model.

Course Structure:
This course consists of four online learning modules that include instructional videos and progress questions. The learning modules are followed by a posttest and course evaluation. The EBS System Model Process Guide is also included with the course. A continuing education certificate is available for download after successful completion of the course.

Learning Objectives:

• Recognize components of the EBS System Model as a way to effectively guide service decision.
• Describe how the EBS System Model can enhance clinical decision-making by considering the importance of multiple sources of information and people involved in treatment when answering common questions that arise during service planning and delivery. 
• Describe the rationale for using the EBS System Model to better inform clinical decision-making.
• Identify some of the common perennial service-related questions that arise in youth mental health treatment, the persons involved in answering these questions, and how the EBS System Model supports both.
• Examine two applications of the EBS System Model in service delivery: 1) a provider application of the model in planning treatment and 2) a service administrator application of the model in determining the best service design for improving service quality in an efficient manner.
