Assertiveness Training (full course)

This course is designed to help you learn to recognize, understand, and apply the practice element Assertiveness Training.

Course Structure:
This course consists of three online learning modules that include instructional videos and progress questions. The learning modules are followed by a posttest and course evaluation. The Assertiveness Training practice guide is also included with the course. A continuing education certificate is available for download after successful completion of the course.

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify Assertiveness Training as a set of strategies used to assist youths in effectively expressing feelings and standing up for themselves, when appropriate.
2. Summarize the theoretical rationale of Assertiveness Training. 
3. Express the benefits of Assertiveness Training in relation to youths having more successful interpersonal relationships.
4. Determine how to apply Assertiveness Training skills with youths through the use of role play exercises.
5. Employ appropriate Assertiveness Training strategies with youths to assist them to express feelings, stand up for themselves, and disagree with others, when appropriate.
