On behalf of the entire PracticeWise family, we hope you have had a great summer season. The last few months have been very busy for us as a team.
- We have completed multiple standard and custom training events with a diverse array of partners
- We have added key new team members to strengthen and deepen our talent as a family to continue to grow and serve our partners
- We are planning our 15 Year Anniversary celebration at the upcoming Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) Conference in Atlanta, GA in November 2019
- We have completed our Fall 2019 update cycle of the PracticeWise information resources and have several great new resources now available!

PracticeWise Resource Library Expansion.
|
|
|
The Fall 2019 updates to the PracticeWise information resources are now available. Our team is very pleased to share these new additions to our growing library of tools and resources designed to help you improve lives using science and local knowledge from your practice. We encourage you to check in periodically on all our resources and continue to send us your feedback, questions, suggestions,and contributions to [email protected].
PracticeWise Evidence-Based Services Database (PWEBS)
PWEBS has expanded once again from 1,076 papers to 1,118. That's an addition of 42 papers! Here is a brief summary of changes and additions to the treatment family strength of evidence levels:
- Attention
- Behavioral Family Therapy was introduced as a treatment family and achieved Good Support (Level 2).
- Parent Management Training and Classroom Management and Cognitive Behavior Therapy was introduced as a treatment family and achieved Good Support (Level 2).
- Parent Management Training and Multimodal Treatment for Parent was introduced as a treatment family and achieved No Support (Level 5).
- Parent Management Training and Supportive Listening for Parent was introduced as a treatment family and achieved No Support (Level 5).
- Autism
- Client Centered Therapy was introduced as a treatment family and achieved No Support (Level 5).
- Depression
- Attention was introduced as a treatment family and achieved No Support (Level 5).
- Disruptive Behavior
- Parent Psychoeducation was introduced as a treatment family and achieved Minimal Support (Level 4).
- Psychoeducation was introduced as a treatment family and achieved No Support (Level 5).
- Substance Use
- Contingency Management and Behavioral Family Therapy was introduced as a treatment family and achieved No Support (Level 5).
- Contingency Management and Parent Psychoeducation was introduced as a treatment family and achieved No Support (Level 5).
- Suicidality
- Psychoeducation was introduced as a treatment family and achieved No Support (Level 5).
- TraumaticStress
- Therapeutic Foster Care was introduced as a treatment family and achieved Good Support (Level 2).
In addition to the PWEBS expansion, we have also expanded our Practitioner Guides and Online Courses.

Resources From MATCH-ADTC

Our goal is to provide our customers with the best materials possible. Over the years, we have received several requests to publish the worksheets and handouts separate from the original MATCH-ADTC publication. We are happy to announce that a new book, "Worksheets and Handouts: Provider Resources from MATCH-ADTC" is now available for Kindle and print on Amazon. PracticeWise 15 Year Anniversary Event

Aloha! We are celebrating our 15 year anniversary as a company during this year'sAssociation for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) convention being held in Atlanta, GA from November 21 - 24. PracticeWise has deep roots in Hawaii, and we are honoring that heritage and 15 years of growth and success on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 9 pm EST. PracticeWise co-founder and President, Bruce Chorpita, Ph.D., who is serving his term as ABCT President this year, will be delivering his Presidential Addresson Saturday, November 23 from 6:15 PM – 7:30 PM entitled "Increasing the World's Therapeutic Intelligence Through Strategic Alignment of Individuals, Institutions, and Industries".
Several members of the PracticeWise family will be joining forces to present a Mini Workshop at the 53rd ABCT Convention. Their session is "Building the Effective Workforce of the Future: A Comprehensive Model for Training Students in Evidence-Based Practice for Youth Mental Health"and will be held onFriday, November 22 from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM in the Atrium Ballroom A, Atrium Level. The presenters are: Charmaine K. Higa-McMillan, Ph.D., Teri L. Bourdeau, Ph.D., Kimberly D. Becker, Ph.D., and Bruce F. PracticeWise CEO Bryan Stewart will also be participating in a ABCT Dissemination and Implementation Science Special Interest Group (DIS SIG)pre-conference session on Thursday, November 21 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM as a discussion facilitator on “How We Built This: Strategies for Developing Your Mentoring, Research, and Community Networks in D&I Science”.
Another great group of PracticeWise family members will be conducting aPanel Discussiontitled "The MAP Toolkit For Enhancing the Connections Between Science and Practice: Common Elements and Much More" onFriday, November 22 from 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM in room A705, Atrium Level. TheModerator is Kimberly Becker, Ph.D. Assistant Professor University of South Carolina and the panelists include:

Alex Dietrich joined the PracticeWise team as its new Business Operations Specialist. He has a very diverse technical background and is currently pursuing degrees in both IT and Computer Science at Indian River State College. With experience coding in multiple programming languages including C++, Ruby, Python, and JavaScript, he has a strong passion of all things technical and would rather be working on a computer than doing just about anything else.

Elizabeth Counsman comes to PracticeWise with a diverse educational background including a B.S. in Communication from the Florida Institute of Technology, an M.A in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University, and a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law. She has served in a variety of roles and companies leveraging her unique blend of marketing, communications, and legal backgrounds. She also currently serves as the Communications Chair for the Space Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association.
